BODY Scar removal in Mirdif, Dubai addresses scarring across the body. Raised, depressed and pigmented scars respond to completely different techniques, so we examine first.
Treating larger body areas
Body skin is thicker than facial skin and it heals more slowly. Since we cover more surface, sessions run longer and courses extend further. We also map the area into zones so nothing is missed between passes.
Scar or stretch mark?
A stretch mark is one specific type of scar, caused by rapid stretching. Other scars follow injury, surgery, acne, boils or previous injections. Because they behave differently, we classify before we treat.
Tell us how the scar formed and roughly when. That history changes our technique more than the way the scar looks today.
How it works
- Atrophic scars sit below the surface, often after acne, boils or injections
- Hypertrophic scars sit raised but stay within the original wound border
- Keloid scars grow beyond that border and need conservative handling
- Post-inflammatory pigmentation is flat discolouration rather than true scarring
- Tethered scars pull downward because they bind to deeper tissue
For atrophic and tethered scars we use needling, sometimes with subcision to release the binding band. Once released, the depression lifts toward the surrounding level. We may then add a small amount of filler.
What it will not do
If you have ever formed a keloid, tell us first. That history changes our approach completely.
Scars improve but do not vanish. Most patients reach a noticeably better result rather than invisible skin, and we will not claim otherwise.
How the appointment runs
Dr Sarah examines and classifies the scar, then photographs it. Next she treats according to type, which may mean needling, subcision or injection. Finally we agree the interval before your next visit.
Sessions usually sit four weeks apart. Most patients need three to six, although tethered and atrophic scars often need the upper end of that range.
Who we cannot treat
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Any scar still healing or showing signs of infection
- Isotretinoin within the last six months
- Uncontrolled diabetes or a healing disorder
- Any undiagnosed lesion, which we biopsy or refer rather than treat
Recovery and aftercare
- Keep the area clean and moisturised
- Sunscreen on exposed treated skin for at least eight weeks
- No pools, saunas or gym for seventy-two hours after needling
- Massage the scar if we instruct you to
- Report increasing pain, spreading redness or discharge straight away
Risks we discuss before you book
Bruising, swelling and temporary darkening are the usual reactions. The risk we watch most closely is keloid formation, particularly across the chest, shoulders and upper back. Because of that we treat conservatively in those zones.
What decides your final price
This treatment starts from AED 1,399. Nevertheless the figure you pay depends on your assessment rather than a price list, because the variables below change the total.
- Size and number of scars
- Whether subcision or injection is needed
- Number of sessions in the course
- Whether topical treatment forms part of the plan

Frequently asked questions
Is body the same treatment under different names?
Patients search for this as body and trunk. All of those words describe the same area, so the treatment itself does not change with the wording.
How much does this cost in Mirdif, Dubai?
Treatment starts from AED 1,399. Because the area and the number of sessions vary between patients, Dr Sarah confirms your full plan in writing after assessing you.
Can scars be removed completely?
No. We flatten, soften and fade them, so the realistic goal is a far less visible scar rather than none.
How many sessions will I need?
Commonly three to six, depending on scar type. Tethered and atrophic scars usually need more than flat pigmented marks.
Do you treat keloid scars?
Yes, although with injections rather than needling. Needling a keloid can enlarge it, so we classify every scar first.
Will treatment work on an old scar?
Often yes, though more slowly than on a recent one. We assess the scar rather than ruling it out on age alone.
Is there any downtime?
Very little. Expect tenderness for a few days and a short break from exercise and heat exposure.
Who should not have this treatment?
We do not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, or where a keloid history makes the area risky. Dr Sarah screens you fully at consultation.
